Legal expert Beth Karas explains: “The judge had a petition prepared by an attorney that would lay out the arguments for why this person is not the age they believe she is – she is actually an adult.

“Nobody knows quite what age, but she has not grown in four years, so the judge came up with his own little formula: ‘Well, you stop growing at 18 – if she hasn’t grown in four years then she’s at least 18 when she entered their lives. And I’m gonna add four years’.

“He said, ‘Okay, I find you 22′.”

For her to have been born in 1989 as the judge said, her birth mother would have had to be 10 and she already had a 4 year old. So you would have to believe that her mother also had a false birth certificate and that her mother’s twin sister also had a false birth certificate. Which is just crazy. Why would anyone lie about this? The birth mother didn’t leave the hospital with her.

Michele Jackson, Barnett’s attorney for re-aging Natalia, says: “At the time of the re-aging, there was good, solid documentation of an approximate age. And she had a primary care physician that looked at all of it and also provided evidence. So that doctor was looking at lots of other doctors’ information and coming up with a determination.

“And then at that point, when it’s such a huge amount of years, you just have to say, ‘What makes the most sense based upon the evidence and the professionals, what they think? And that it’s in the best interests of the child to change their age?’

“You know, I’m not the doctor and I’m not the judge, but I felt like it was based on something credible.”

⦁ June 3, 2010 – Peyton Manning hospital conducts a complete body examination at the request of the Barnetts. Doctor Andrew Riggs estimates Natalia’s age to be approximately 8 years old.

Bone density test was done by specialist Dr Riggs, not the PCP and the results were she was approx 8, not 18

⦁ May 31, 2011 – Kristine Barnett took Natalia Grace to EZ Dental for the purpose of an estimate of Natalia’s age. Natalia was examined and dental x-rays were taken. Records show that Kristine Barnett was advised that Natalia was between 8 and 9 years of age.

⦁ July 25, 2012 – Mobile Dental Health Care Services records show that a dental x-ray was taken by Dr. Ronald Deckard. He states that, based upon the dental x-rays, Natalia was between 6 and 9 years old as of July 25, 2012. Dr. Deckard was provided a birth year for Natalia of 1989 but he did not believe that birth year to be accurate.

⦁ March 16, 2018 – Dr. Andrea Kuldanek with Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital examined Natalia Grace. Dr. Kuldanek estimated Natalia’s age to be approximately 13-14 years of age based upon x-rays which showed open physes within the hand and wrist as well as bilateral femurs and tibias. The doctor also found that Natalia physically appeared to be a pre-teen.

The DePauls, the family that Natalia Grace was with right before the Barnetts did an interview with Inside Edition in 2019. They have pictures of Natalia Grace losing her front baby teeth when she was with them and their daughter. They said she was a bright happy child.

Natalia Grace was indeed a child when she was abandoned by the Barnetts.

Evidence:

*In 2009 there is a picture of her with missing front teeth. In 2010 she had full teeth in that area that grew back which means she had baby teeth in 2009.

*6/2010 – medical exam estimated ~8 years old (Barnetts claimed doc said 14 but this is confirmed to be a lie).

*9/2010 – she has surgery and X-ray showed open growth plates which indicates a person is not in even early adulthood.

*5/2011 – dentist estimated ~8-9 based on dental exam and X-rays.

*6/2012 – doc estimated ~11years old after complete exam and bone density scan (NOT 22 as some claim)

*Michael’s (adopted dad) PCP supposedly wrote a letter saying he thought she was an adult without a single shred of physical clinical evidence that was provable. Please note, this letter was never verified as legitimate.

*In 2012 a judge randomly decided she was 22 years old and changed the date of birth to 1989.

*Her birth mother (confirmed by DNA) confirmed Natalia was born in 2003. Her mother was born in 1979 which means she would have had Natalia at age 10 if Natalia was supposedly born in 1989.

*You can clearly see her grow and age to her current age of 20 by looking at photos over the years by simply googling. No, her height does not change (she has dwarfism), but her face clearly matures from a child to an adolescent to the young adult that she is in 2023. Dwarfism is not a superpower that makes you age slowly. Their facial features and skin will age just like everyone else. Just google please.
There is not a single shred of provable evidence that she was an adult. Only speculation and lies. Lies from her parents and lies Natalia herself adopted due to coercion, manipulation and force by the people who should have loved her most. They aged her up to an adult to legally abandon her, a minor child with expensive physical disabilities that didn’t meet their image of a perfect family and no longer served a purpose after getting praise for being “saints” for taking in someone with very special needs.

If Natalia was as old as the Barnetts claims (claiming a dob of Sept 4, 1989), the birth mother, Anna Gava, would have been 10. The Ukrainian birth records state a dob of Sept 4, 2003, when Gava was 24 (Gava’s dob: April 20, 1979). The Ukrainian birth records are inadmissible in US courts, because the Barnetts successfully petitioned a Marion County court to change Natalia’s birth records, thus the only dates admissible in a US court are the “updated” US records. This is why the neglect case couldn’t be tried based on Natalia’s age, but was on her disability.

In 2019, NBC News obtained court documents that stated hospital records from 2010 approximated Grace’s age as 8 while hospital records from 2012 showed she was about 11. A dentist who appeared in the docuseries said that based on 2011 X-rays of Natalia, her age was about 8 or 9.
