Holey Grail Donuts
Brand of donuts, distinguished by the use of taro instead of the usual flour.
The dough is fried in hand-harvested coconut oil.
Instead of the usual wheat flour, taro flour is used. Taro are plants with large leaves — it’s the tuber or root crops that are used to make the doughnut base.
Holey Grail was founded in Hawaii. They’ve started expanding to Los Angeles locations like Culver City and Larchmont Village.
In April 2022, they announced a price increase for their tasting box.
