The company met with controversy in November 2025 because of news reports that Bee Construction’s subcontractor tore up the parking lot due to non-payment.
As a result of the media coverage, the subcontractor was arrested for vandalism. So not only was Jose Breniz not paid for his work, he also incurred a criminal charge.
Friendly Animal Hospital then published a letter from Bee Construction certifying that the hospital had duly paid for everything.
It is unknown why the subcontractor would tear up the parking lot if he had indeed been paid for his work.
