Taix is set to close its doors on March 29, 2026.

The closure marks the end of an era for one of Los Angeles’ oldest French dining institutions, which first opened its doors in 1927.

The restaurant is entering an extended hiatus as its historic building on Sunset Boulevard is slated for demolition to make way for a new six-story mixed-use development.
