According to officials in Las Vegas, Tamura had a documented mental health history.

Tamura had a suicide note in his back pocket alleging he suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a neurodegenerative disease which is linked to repeated trauma to the head, and is disproportionately prevalent among athletes, adding “Terry Long football gave me CTE and it caused me to drink a gallon of antifreeze”, “Study my brain please I’m sorry Tell Rick I’m sorry for everything” and “You can’t go against the NFL, they’ll squash you”.
