Instagram’s Native Repost Feature
Instagram’s native repost feature for public Reels and feed posts officially launched on August 6, 2025.
Rollout Details
The feature began rolling out globally on that date, alongside other updates like Instagram Map and a Friends tab in Reels. It allows users to reshare content directly to their followers’ feeds with automatic credit to the original creator, appearing in a new Reposts tab on profiles.
Availability Notes
Initial rollout was gradual by region and account, so not everyone saw it immediately despite the launch date. By late 2025, it had become widely available for public content where sharing is enabled.
