The family was able to raise over 14,000 dollars through a GoFundMe set up by Linda Chung.

According to an online obituary, Nevarez was born with a ventricular septal defect on August 27, 1982.

L.A. county’s medical examiner lists two causes of death: hemorrhagic pancreatitis and chronic ethanol consumption.

His parents were Hortencia and Pilar Nevarez III.

Chronic alcohol consumption can induce alterations in the function and morphology of most if not all brain systems and structures.
