Dennis Galer Goodwin
Dennis Galer Goodwin is a British man recognized by the Guinness World Records for having completed the world’s longest hunger strike which lasted 385 days and ended in 1973.
Goodwin only drank water during the hunger strike although he was forcibly fed through a tube by authorities. He went on a hunger strike to protest that he had been imprisoned in Wakefield Prison in West Yorkshire, England after being accused of rape.
