Alfred Kim Guggenheim

Entertainment lawyer who committed suicide in Los Angeles in the summer of 2023.

According to the L.A. County medical examiner, Alfred Kim Guggenheim took his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot to his head. It was also noted that Guggenheim had a history of suffering from depression.

Alfred Guggenheim was born on July 27, 1946, and died on August 23, 2023. He was the only child of two famous people — the publisher Felix Guggenheim and the actress Evelyn Holt.

Guggenheim graduated from Pomona College in 1968. After graduating from Harvard Law cum laude, he was admitted to the California State Bar. Eventually, he would be counsel at Hamburg, Karic, Edwards and Martin.

Guggenheim was married to Barbara Witlin. They had two children — Aaron Alexander and Daniel Benjamin Felix.
