Alexandra Fröhlich
German author beaten to death by one of her three half-Russian sons.
Alexandra Fröhlich was married to a Russian man. Her first two semi-autobiographical novels, Meine russische Schwiegermutter und andere Katastrophen (“My Russian Mother-in-law and Other Catastrophes”) and its sequel Reisen mit Russen, draw on her experiences from that failed marriage.
Her three sons are from that marriage, making them of mixed German and Russian heritage.
