People Mistakenly Threatened with Deportation by DHS Email
The U.S. government has been sending deportation letters to citizens via email.

Thomas Frantz received a Notice of Termination of Parole dated April 11, 2025. He is a white man born in the United States and with legal U.S. citizenship.

3. Pamela Rioles Saeed, an immigration attorney in Arizona and a U.S. citizen born in Boston.
The self-deportation message from the Department of Homeland Security was a mistake because she’s a U.S. citizen. Pamela Rioles Saeed is an American citizen, born in Boston and believes the email is either incompetence or intimidation. She worries that if she received this, it means potentially thousands of people are having their due process violated.

Carlos Trujillo, a naturalized U.S. citizen who works as an immigration lawyer in Utah, was ordered to self-deport within seven days. He said he is not leaving.
