Moringa
A fast-growing, drought-resistant tree that thrives in semi-arid, tropical, and subtropical areas.
Moringa can tolerate a wide range of soil conditions but prefers neutral to slightly acidic, well-drained soil. It is a sun- and heat-loving plant and does not tolerate freezing or frost.
The tree is also known as the drumstick tree or horseradish tree.
Moringa is considered an important food source in many parts of the world, particularly in the Indian subcontinent and the Philippine Islands. It is rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals, including potassium, vitamin C, calcium, iron, and amino acids.
The leaves of moringa have about as much potassium as a banana and about the same amount of vitamin C as an orange.
