Denver Stoner (Republican Party) is running in a special election for Governor of California.
Stoner is on the ballot in the special general election on September 14, 2021.
Born in the heart of California’s central valley, Tulare, California, Denver Stoner lived there for the first 28 years of his life. He moved to Alpine County in 2002 where he began his career as a deputy sheriff and public safety officer.
As a public safety officer, his primary role is law enforcement. Additionally, he serves as a fireman and EMT, which has enabled him to handle medical and fire emergencies. He has been able to serve the state during numerous wildfires, including the Creek Fire and August Complex Fires last year and the Tamarack Fire this year. He has also overseen and assisted with search and rescue efforts in Alpine and Calaveras counties.
Stoner and his wife have been married for 22 years. They have two children and one grandchild. He is a conservative Christian.
